Elephants are of course one of the most popular sights in the Etosha national park. There are not many elephants outside the park anymore in Namibia. Elephants are powerful and can be extremely short tempered
On the first evening, lions had tried to take one of the elephant young. I think they did not succeed (we did not see it happen - only heard the roaring and trumpeting, but people who were at the waterhole told us that it happened near the waterhole), and consequently the elephants were extremely nervous for the next days
