Kuala Lumpur and Klang Valley 2006-2010

Kuala Lumpur is one of my favourite cities and I always enjoy going back there for a day or two. The area along the river Klang to the Sea, about 40km West, is now a densely populated and industrialised area, the Klang Valley. Cities are bordering each other, but since urban planning leaves large parks in between, and the area is bordered by forests to the north and plantations to the south, it does not feel like a typical metropolitan agglomeration.

West of Kuala Lumpur comes Petaling Jaya, then Subang Jaya, and in one of the suburbs of Subang Jaya I've been living when I worked in Malaysia. The next city westwards is Shah Alam, then Klang with the harbour of Port Klang.

The whole area is changing so fast that everytime I'm there, there is something new.
