The Etosha National Park is the last area in Namibia where lions roam. They are one of the reasons why you should not leave your car outside fenced-in areas (if they want to, they are well hidden until you step onto their tails). Though lions tend to be lazy and, due to the abundance of antelope, well-fed, there are always stories about careless visitors. Lions learn quickly which species are easy to hunt and humans and domestic cattle are among the easy prey. There are ways to deal with lions, though: being big like an elephant or rhino helps, and springbok successfully confuse lions with their erratic jumps. Lions are wary of anything that doesn't run away. Observing a group of lions during daytime is not so interesting. They are a lazy bunch and just sleep a lot
