La Défense

Situated just outside of the inner city, La Défense is a futuristic suburb that looks like it came out of some architect's wet dream. There are incredible skyscrapers and weird structures. At the centre of it is a huge arch in an array of high-rise buildings, structures that look like dome tents, sculptures and other things. I spent the non-business part of my trip in a small hotel in Courbevoie nead La Défense, so I had some opportunity to study this area.
