The French like geometry. The straight line from the Grande Arche to the Arc de Triomphe continues on to the Louvre pyramid: the Tuileries, then the Champs Elysées, and finally the Avenue Charles de Gaulle, the Neuilly bridge and the Esplanade de la Défense all align - that's probably a 7km or so straight line.
