Notice the street light.
Hindu temples are adorned with scenes from traditional stories, such as the Mahabharata or the Ramayana. I can recognise Brahma, and a guy who I think is Arjuna. It's a bit as if the Greeks would build sceneries from Ilias and Odyssey into their churches, or as if we would have Hagen and Siegfried in ours.
