One of the advantages of being in the tropics is the availability and affordability of tropical fruits. Our Western supermarkets usually have a dozen trays for a dozen types of apples, and one tray for pineapples and one for mangoes each. In Kuala Lumpur, there are several trays for pineapples in a supermarket, and several for mangoes.
In Malaysia, there are at least the ordinary and flower pineapples (which are both a bit sour) and the sweet Sarawak pineapples grown locally. The red hand grenades to the left are called dragon fruit and look a bit like straciatella ice cream inside. I don't really like them. In the back, you see pomelos (a citrus fruit).
