Suria KLCC
This is Suria KLCC, a shopping mall in the building at the base of the Petronas twin towers. One of it's bigger tenants is Kinokunya, a big and well-stocked book shop. They are the only shop outside the U.S. where I've ever found copies of "Asimov's" on the shelves. Also good if you're looking for local or regional books, such as asian recipe books, or the latest cartoons by Lat. Or a map of KL. You need a new one every six months because the city changes so fast, but they're cheap.
The food court on the second floor is also a place I like to go to.
Shopping Malls in Asia are generally not only places to acquire goods, but places to spend your leisure time. Some of the best restaurants are in shopping malls, and there are also cinemas and other attractions, such as a skating rink or an indoor roller-coaster. This one is on the edge of the KLCC park, a recreational area right in the center of the city.
