Unlike most other places in the world, the three lines of Kuala Lumpur's metropolitan Light Rail Transit system use all different technology. This is the latest addition, the KL Monorail. You may wonder what's the reason to build a monorail, but you stop wondering when you compare Jalan Sultan Ismail with Silom Road in Bangkok. The elevated train in Bangkok puts the road completely into the dark, while the monorail still lets a lot of daylight pass through. It's a real difference.
