This is a fine example for the effects of colour temperature. (Compare to the next picture.) I developed this picture at 4800K, the colour temperature of my flash. This should be correct for a low distance shot, and the resulting colour corresponds closely to how the colours appear to be under water (though they are not as vivid, because it is quite dark and there is already a lot of absorption). You can see that the background is purplish.
