Perhentian Islands 2006

The Perhentians are one of my favourite spots for a dive holiday. They are not exactly a prime diving destination - the water is too dirty for this and, though there is a lot of marine life, there is not much really exciting stuff. But life on the islands is easy and pleasant, you go to most of the dive spots in a couple of minutes by boat, and there are always nice people to meet; not too many group tours.
This was my second time to the small island (fourth time to the Perhentians!), and I dived again with Spice Divers . When I arrived, it was hard to find a room. I tried Cempaka Chalets, but on the boat to the islands, I also recommended Cempaka to two Dutch girls, and they arrived a bit before me. They got the last room.
I found a room in Lily's chalets nearby, though it was a bit overcharged. The good thing about Lily's is, they have decent Roti Canai. They were the only shop to offer Roti Canai three years ago (five years ago, I didn't find a single one), and now they are still probably the best.
