Dugong
Another favourite of mine, and, incidentally, also one of the pictures which had been greatly improved by The Teachers mastery of Photoshop (mainly to apply different white balances to the background, grass and Dugong, I guess - I didn't watch him do this picture). Dugongs are quite rare, but at Marsa Abu Dabab, there is one at home which occasionally is seen on dives. Usually it is surrounded by divers and you can't get a reasonable picture with at least a dozen divers on it, but I was lucky - it just emerged from its own dust cloud at a place where nobody was expecting it, and I happened to be there. There were divers from at least three boats, and also a larger group of snorkellers. This was also the reason for the temporary unemployment of the remoras from the previous picture ... a lot of skin space was already occupied (fortunately not too much in this picture), and the rest was taken by divers.
