This fish which looks like someone stepped onto it's head with a moon boot is a remora, and the bootprint is actually its suction device. It is quite uncommon to find unattached remoras, and then three of them lazing around in the sand. We found out later that this was something like the waiting hall of the labour office for unemployed remoras.
