The prelate's yard is the first yard of the abbey. The eave painting on the roof had always shown a picture of "Wisdom" (the other three sides show other virtues), but the original painting was replaced with a contemporary painting in the 19th century, and this was replaced with a contemporary painting in the late 20th century
