This is a flat fish like a sole or flounder. Since apparently the eyes are on the left side (you can tell that the fins to the left of the pictures are pectoral and not dorsal fins) it is more a flounder than a sole. Since flounders and soles live in temperate waters, it is actually neither but what it is called precisely I don't know.
